Message from the President
Developing healthcare professionals who exude warmth and compassion and who are deeply involved in clinical settings.
Clinical settings are everything
As healthcare becomes more advanced and the world becomes more global, clinical settings are presenting an increasingly diverse array of needs. Physicians, nurses, nutritionists, heath information managers, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, clinical engineers, and other healthcare professionals with access to various specialized technologies must maximally leverage their individual specialties while working together to ensure the highest standards of care. The key to team-based healthcare is combining sophisticated expertise with compassions towards patients. Both sides of the equation take center stage at Tokyo Healthcare University, which aims to turn out healthcare professionals who respect their patients’ diverse values and different views of life. We urge our students to exude warmth and compassion as they stay deeply involved in clinical settings.
